Prescription medication dependence is a medical condition that can happen to a family member, work colleague, friend, neighbour or to you.

We prevent the harms associated with prescription medications through raising awareness, engagement and advocacy.

We amplify the voices of those personally affected.

Every day in Australia, three people die due to opioid use. The majority of these deaths are due to prescription medications such as oxycodone and codeine.

Our ambassadors and community advocates have been heard across national and state media such as on The Project, ABC 7:30 and Triple J Hack.

Prescription medication dependence does not discriminate

For some people, using opioid or sedative medications for too long can increase the chances of having unwanted side-effects like tolerance, dependence and addiction.
